Out With the Old
Hero Points: Each level, your total number of hero points resets to (Your level +5). You can spend a hero point to:
- Add +1d6 to the d20 roll for an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, but only before the consequences of that roll are applied (1 hero point per roll maximum).
- turn a failed death saving throw into a successful one.
Trip Tripping an opponent uses the same rules as for a shove but obviously some creatures cannot be tripped.
