Frido's Robe of Eyes

robeofeyes.PNG This fine cloak is woven of a vibrant crimson fabric and is embroidered with patterns that resemble golden reptilian eyes. It is always slightly warm to the touch, and the fabric is especially resistant to fire damage. (note: this resistance applies to the cloak itself; it provides no additional protection to the wearer)

  • While attuned to this robe and wearing it, you can see in all directions and have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) rolls that depend on sight.
    While attuned to this robe and wearing it, you have darkvision out to a range of 120 feet.
  • While attuned to this robe and wearing it, you can see invisible and ethereal objects out to a range of 120 feet.
  • The eyes on the robe cannot be closed or averted. While attuned to this robe and wearing it, you can never count as having your eyes closed or averted to prevent attacks such as a basilisk’s gaze or a nymph’s beauty.
  • While attuned to this robe and wearing it, if a light spell or a daylight spell is cast within 5 feet of it, you are blinded for 1 minute. At the end of each of your turns you may make a Constitution save (DC 11 for a light spell or DC 15 for a daylight spell
    Minor Property: The robe whispers warnings, showing you what is to come. While attuned to this robe and wearing it, you gain a +2 bonus to Initiative.
    Quirk: Confidence: When you you attune and don, you experience a strange sense of pride. You tend to feel self-assured while wearing it.

  • History or Religion DC 14: It is said that this robe was originally a gift from the red dragon Ashurlinax to the dragonborn oracle Biri Daardendrian, who was said to be a prophetess of Tiamat. Legend has it that the robe was made to augment her powers of second sight and prophecy, at least until her death in the Fourth Great Dragon War.
